Lacoste

Rene Lacoste was one of the popular tennis players in the middle of the century, but his name remains in history not so much as an athlete but as a creator of one of the most famous fashion houses. Participating in international tennis tournaments, Rene has personally crafted from his shirt from a special fabric that removes moisture caused by heat.
Also during the sporting events it gives me an American press nicknamed “the alligator” and later he himself embroidered krokodilche least of his team.
After retiring in 1933 with Andre Gillier, textile magnate in the country, Rene Lacsote creates La Societe Chemise Lacoste. This is the beginning of one of the most successful fashion houses the world is. Started to produce tennis clothing, clothing for sailing and golf, men’s shirts and they all bear the logo of the little green crocodile.
Lacoste in 1952 is based on U.S. market and in 1963 the management passed into the hands of Bernard Lacoste, son of Rene. Since 2005 president is the brother of Bernard – Michel Lacoste.
Today, under the brand Lacoste produced hundreds of articles for men and women.
